What’s so big about a secret anyway?


The other day a poet friend commented that she could never write nonfiction  because with nonfiction you reveal such personal things about yourself. But the thing is: with nonfiction you know what you’re revealing. You decide to reveal it. With other writing, with fiction and poetry, you never know what secrets you’re telling.
